At Let’s Get Out, we have a few guiding principles for our programs
We believe that exposure to the outdoors is a bridge that connects people to natural places.
It is through adventuring and playing outside that we teach and model deeper values like self-respect, confidence, empathy, leadership, conflict resolution, and land stewardship.
In order for our kids to thrive, they need to be outside with their peers.
While it’s great to have fun, it’s important to give back too.
At Let’s Get Out we focus on a multi-pronged experience through a variety of adventure sports and outdoor exploration. While teaching, we focus on equipment, safety, technique and having fun. We use exploration and adventure sports as a vehicle to teach deeper values such as self-respect, confidence, compassion for our peers and land stewardship.
Our goal is for the outdoor adventure to be transformative. We capitalize on interpersonal relationships to maximize teachable moments. Many of our programs have a service component. Our intention is to give children the tools and opportunities to think beyond themselves in a meaningful way and to connect with our home in the Gorge and our planet. Whether building a trail, working at the Food Bank, or planting trees, we expose children to the value of stewardship and community. We have a limited number of needs-based scholarships available for our programs this spring and summer. Please email us at info@lets-get-out.com if you are interested in a scholarship.
Cancellation Policy: You may cancel 4 weeks in advance and receive a refund minus a $50 administration fee. Within 4 weeks of the start of camp we do not offer refunds. Thank you for your understanding.
Adventure Camp
Adventure Camp is a full-day day camp for campers ages 8-14 where kids explore a variety of adventure sports and activities, build skills around navigation, leadership, teamwork, resilience, and stewardship.
After School Outside
After School Outside is a one day a week after school program for students in 2nd-5th grade. We build our afternoons around nature based activities, games and enrichment learning that kids love.
Explorer Camp
Explorer Camp is a full-day day camp for campers ages 6-10 held in Mosier, Oregon. Campers deep dive into a theme each week and spend their days creating, playing, exploring, and building new skills in the forest.
